Land Progress
I Spoke to the landlord again today. He intends to build a pole barn the far corner of the property. He is allowing us to continue doing what we are doing. This takes a great deal of pressure off of us. He still does want to sell the land. But we are not in as much of a crunch to raise money fast. So we will continue to raise the money overtime. I do not know what his future plans are, but I would like to be ready to be able to purchase it if need be.

Land update:
I had a chance to speak with the land owner today. As it turns out, he owned the land along with his brother. He has recently bought his brother out. Now, he is the only owner of the land. He intends to build in the far corner of the property.
What does this mean for our ministry? I posed this question to him and at this point, he stated that we can continue using what we are using now.
I did inquire about purchasing half of the land because that is about it the amount of money that we have raised. He then stated that this was something we could speak about in the future after he builds.
This recent development is both good and bad at the same time. Good, because we can continue doing what we are doing. Bad, because if we do not have access to the full amount of land, we cannot fulfill the towns requirements for the amount of our flock. Not to worry, I do have a Plan B to fall back on. It involves asking the large farmer behind us if we could rent a bit of his land. The truth is, we don’t even have to use the land, we just have to be able to say it is accessible to us to satisfy the town.
In the end, it is all in the Lords hands.

Land update:
The land we rent, and I’m trying to raise money to purchase was taken off the market. I’m not sure what this means yet. The last time it was taken off the market they wound up putting it back on at a lower price a couple days later. We shall see.

Scavenging Corn!
Thank you to the Shirey Family who own the large farm behind us. They allowed me to collect any corn that their huge combine left behind. This will help to keep the chickens fed through the winter at no cost and a small bit of labor.

Singing for the poor!
I was able to raise a little bit of money for the farm by sitting outside of Halleluia Hive and Green Dragon farmers market and sing. I was a blessing. I think I will do this more often.
